Heuristech's Environmental Impact

Reducing methane leaks and resource waste
line

Pipelines are often viewed as symbols of the fossil fuel economy. While the transition away from oil and gas is essential, we believe this negative framing has obscured a fundamental reality: a sustainable world still depends on pipelines. Water, district heating, district cooling, hydrogen, CO₂, and other critical resources all rely on safe, durable pipeline infrastructure.

Moreover, the existing oil and gas pipeline network is itself a major climate challenge. Methane leaks from these assets account for an estimated 390 MtCO₂e of greenhouse gas emissions every year. Waiting for the energy transition to eliminate these emissions is not an option. We must improve the integrity of today's infrastructure while building the resilient pipeline networks that tomorrow's low carbon economy will require.

By using high-frequency electrical signals and reflectometry, DRM accurately detects and locates defects in the networks before they cause a leak or failure.

This early detection capability enables a shift from corrective maintenance to truly predictive maintenance: targeted interventions, carried out at the right time, with no blind spots, and minimal disruption.

eco-friendly

Heuristech's mission is to stop leaks from happening. We are by design focused on reducing resource waste and mitigating the scope 1 greenhouse gas emissions of our clients. DRM also minimizes road excavation emissive operations.
